So happy things were able to work out for Annie and Flossmoor. Hopefully the parking issue was addressed as well. Kudos to Mayor Braun for stepping up. Better late than never! Cheers Annie!

I'm happy for Sweet Annie's! Sad for us! We will follow her gladly!
Congratulations to the Village of Flossmoor for pushing out another great business. When are they going to learn ? We're the parking tickets and vote against business permits worth Village Charm? Our own Wonderful bakery? Where our kids walked after school for a treat? Where we met and chatted with neighbors while the amazing staff put our orders together?
Homewoods Gain hey get an amazing Bakery owned and operated by amazing people!
    Good Luck Anne!!

Lynn all our love to you both! I hate to hear the bigotry in these comments! I have lived in this area for my 46 years we live here for the diversity. My kids are color blind until bigots like you point it out. Trash is trash whatever color shape size it comes in. Who is to say these kids didn't get off the train and aren't even from here? You bigots talk without knowing facts which is ignorant. There are bad people in this world in every income bracket, every nationality, every race. Shame on you for spouting your ignorant rant rather than caring about the well being of the child. Also... After my very expensive flossmoor home sells We will be renting in the area... Do I need to prepare my family that our status from owner to renter will also change our staus from respected community member to " ghetto trash"?

Dr Bharti Amin ! She has loved my kids for 16 years! It is just her so no other doctor that only knows your name because of the chart they are holding is on call, just her! She is truly amazing and I tell everyone I can to go to her! Her staff is also wonderful. Kind and accommodating. Offices in Matteson and Frankfort!!

As an alum of HF and a parent of students at HF and close to those involved I am dristressed by some of the comments on this site. Random acts of violence are just that, random. They can and have happend at many quality schools across the nation. Trouble is trouble no matter what the color or their skin is or what neighborhood they hail from. It is a travesty that this occured and it is one for all involved attacker or victim. The school and police response was immediate and thorough.
HF football games are not known for their incidents. Who says so is mis-informed. Their games are attended by much of the community even those without children still enrolled at HF. It is the enpowerment of community that has us living here and returning here as 2nd and 3rd generation families. Our kids should absolutely be able to cross Governor's and walk down Braemar to their homes and the homes of their friends post game or any other time prior to curfew. It takes a village and we live in that village! Where the children are OUR children and we embrace each other and enjoy each other and pain for each other when things like this occur.
I attended HF from 81-85 and we had our share of crud even back then.I remember the school going on lock down because the girls of the Latin Kings were coming to do something...25 years ago people.
We have to do our jobs at home and in the community to support each other and our children and our schools.
