Update, 12:09 p.m., Jan. 13 -- Courtney Jean Arp, 15, of Lockport, who has been missing for over a week, was found safe in DeKalb, IL, early Sunday morning. Courtney's mother posted a message on the Missing Cases Facebook page: "We got her !!!!!! Dekalb police dept thank IOU!!!!!" Other sources close to the family confirmed that the Lockport girl was found safe. Courtney was visiting her dad in Worth for the Christmas holidays when she was believed to have run away. Family turns to social media for help in finding 15-year-old daughter.
The family of a 15-year-old girl missing since Sunday is turning to social media in the hopes of locating her. Courtney Jean Arp is believed to be a runaway and was last seen around 8 p.m. Sunday near 113th Street and Ridgeland Avenue in Worth. Courtney's primary residence is with her mother in Lockport, but she was visiting her father, Les Arp, in Worth for winter break when she went missing on Sunday. She is a sophomore at Lockport High School. “She snuck out her bedroom window,” Les Arp said. “She is definitely a runaway.” Courtney has not used her cell phone since Sunday, but has contacted a few of her friends privately on Facebook. “As soon as they asked where she was at she terminated the conversation,” Arp said of his daughter. …

Pretrial hearings begin March 13 for Hui Zheng of Worth.
A man accused of setting fire to his family’s Chinese restaurant in Worth pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of arson. Hui Zheng, 39, of Worth, has been indicted on charges of arson and arson with intent to defraud insurance, for a fire that destroyed much of Canton Express, 11318 S. Harlem Ave., on New Year’s Eve. The structure was so badly damaged that firefighters called a demolition crew to aid the building’s collapse. The charges against Zheng are Class 2 felonies, carrying a maximum penalty of seven years behind bars. Prosecutors say Zheng — following an alleged burglary at the Chinese restaurant on Dec. 29, in which part of the floor was burned — was told by an insurance agent that only food supplies contaminated by gasoline …

Hui Zheng, 39, of the 11300 block of Harlem Avenue in Worth, was charged with arson and insurance fraud and released on a $50,000 bond on Tuesday.
An employee of Canton Express in Worth has been accused of setting fire to his sister’s restaurant on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011. Hui Zheng, 39, of Worth, was charged with arson and insurance fraud. He appeared in court Tuesday morning before Judge Joan O’Brien, who set bond at $50,000. Prosecutors said Zheng — following an alleged burglary at the Chinese restaurant on Dec. 29, in which part of the floor was burned — was told by an insurance agent that only food supplies contaminated by gasoline would be reimbursed in a claim. Zheng was then seen at the Citgo gas station down the street filling a white gas can that was later used to ignite the Canton Express kitchen, prosecutors said.
