THURSDAY, NOV. 1 Fatime Destani, 37, of the 14700 block of South Central Avenue in Oak Forest, was charged with battery, according to a police report. A woman came into the Palos Heights Police Department more than a month ago and told officers she was the victim of a battery. She filled out a report but only recently decided to pursue charges. WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 26 Christie Czubik, 23, of the 16600 block of Stuart Ave. in Orland Park, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and an equipment violation, according to a report. Czubik's vehicle was stopped for only having one headlight at about 11:30 p.m. near 12200 S. Harlem Ave., police said. She then told the officer she had drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. SUNDAY, FEB. 12 Mohammad A. Damra, 19, of the 8800 block of 84th Street in Justice was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and theft. Palos Heights police said the charges stem from a Cook County Sheriff’s Department investigation in unincorporated Burbank that led detectives to a theft in the 12500 block of Harold Avenue. Damra was arrested around 3 a.m. Police said a rifle was among the stolen items found in Damra’s possession, but they refused to release any further information.
