Andrew, Stagg National Merit Scores Declared Invalid
After the wrong test was distributed last October, the National Merit Scholarship test scores for 144 D230 students have been declared invalid.
When 144 juniors from Andrew and Stagg high schools took their National Merit Scholarship tests on a Saturday last October, they took the test meant for a Wednesday. And that's why all those test scores have been declared invalid. This mostly affects five or six students who would have been "commended students" had the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation not invalidated the scores. Many of those students, now seniors, have been including the honor on their college applications, district spokeswoman Carla Erdey said.
