A 19-year-old Palos man accused of giving heroin to a teen girl was sentenced to two years in the state prison for violating his probation on an earlier theft conviction. Matthew Lefebvre's most recent arrests in connection to an Oct. 26, 2012 incident, where police were called at 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 11000 block of Helena Drive to help with an ambulance call for a teen who had overdosed, violated his probation, authorities said. The teen was hospitalized but didn't die from the overdose. The girl reportedly overdosed a second time in November and Lefebvre was arrested again. Matthew Lefebvre, the 19-year-old man charged with supplying a teen girl heroin twice, was sentenced for violating probation on a 2011 robbery conviction. He is expected to enter a guilty plea this week on the recent charges.

A 20-year-old woman pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor endangering the life of a child. She'll get six months of court supervision and 10 days of the sheriff's work program.

One of two people accused of endangering the life of a 15-year-old girl who overdosed on heroin reportedly supplied by the pair pleaded guilty Tuesday. Nicolette Martinu, 20, pleaded to one misdemeanor count of endangering the life of a child in Cook County Judge Patrick T. Rogers' Bridgeview courtroom. She will have to serve 10 days in the Cook County Sheriff's SWAP, a manual labor program for nonviolent misdemeanors and traffic offenders, and receive six months of court supervision.
