January Home Sales: Palos Heights Sees Big Gains

The number of detached, single-family home sold grew last month over January 2012, as did the median price.

Eight detached, single-family homes sold in Palos Heights during January represented a 166 percent increase of January 2012, when three homes were sold, according to the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe).  The median price also grew in January, jumping 130 percent from the same month in 2012 to reach $229,950. Palos Park and Palos Hills showed the biggest jump in homes sales during December, with each municaplity recording nine homes old last month versus five sold in December 2011. The market for detached, single-family homes in suburbs throughout the Southland saw growth in January, MORe reported. MORe gets its statistics from Midwest Real Estate Data.
