Matthew Lefebvre, the 19-year-old man charged with supplying a teen girl heroin twice, was sentenced for violating probation on a 2011 robbery conviction. He is expected to enter a guilty plea this week on the recent charges.
Updated 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 2013 Nineteen-year-old Matthew Lefebvre pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor child endangerment for supplying a teenager who overdosed on heroin twice. According to court records, Lefebvre took the plea in late January, but the convictions won't add to a two-year prison sentence he received for violating his probation with the new arrests. Lefebvre received credit for 160 days time served in the Cook County jail. A 20-year-old woman pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor endangering the life of a child. She'll get six months of court supervision and 10 days of the sheriff's work program.
One of two people accused of endangering the life of a 15-year-old girl who overdosed on heroin reportedly supplied by the pair pleaded guilty Tuesday. Nicolette Martinu, 20, pleaded to one misdemeanor count of endangering the life of a child in Cook County Judge Patrick T. Rogers' Bridgeview courtroom. She will have to serve 10 days in the Cook County Sheriff's SWAP, a manual labor program for nonviolent misdemeanors and traffic offenders, and receive six months of court supervision. She'll also have to pay $284 in court costs. Two people are charged with endangering the life of a child.
A 15-year-old girl overdosed on heroin inside a Palos Hills home and two people face child endangerment charges. Nicolette Martinu, 20, and Matthew Lefebvre, 19, are charged with endangering the health and life of a child, Palos Hills police said. Lefebvre also faces a charge of possession of drug equipment. Police were called at 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 to 11100 S. Helena Dr. to help with an ambulance call for a teen who had overdosed.
