FRIDAY, MAY 11 Laura Sterling, 42, of Palos Hills, was charged with driving under the influence. She was stopped at 2:30 a.m. after police observed her traveling 25 miles per hour under the speed limit. She was then seen swerving into another lane, police said. Sterling refused field sobriety tests, police said. TUESDAY, MAY 8 A male student at Stagg High School was charged with criminal damage to state supported property after he spray painted the inside of his locker, police said. MONDAY, MAY 7 Police say a man parked his pick up truck in the parking lot of a restaurant at 10164 S. Roberts Road and went inside to order. SUNDAY, MAY 6 A woman described as being in her early 20s with long blond hair stole several items from Jewel, 7100 W. 127th Street, police said. She was standing at the camera counter and began removing items when she was approached by an employee. She pushed the employee who fell to the ground and ran out of the store, police said. Peter Adamski, 27, of the 13600 block of Dublin Road in Homer Glen, was charged with drunken driving and criminal damage to property. He was observed driving 76 mph in a 40 mph zone and was following several cars too closely, police said. He failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest, police said. SATURDAY, APRIL 21 Nikola Ostojic, 38, of the 12900 block of Forestview Road, was charged with driving under the influence. He was stopped at 4:53 a.m. and failed a field sobriety test, police said. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level of .143, police said. Trevor King, 33, of the 5000 block of 171st Street in Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving. He was stopped at 1:50 a.m. for doing 55 miles per hour in a 35 zone, police said. He was also wanted on an outstanding $10,000 warrant in Cook County for failure to appear in court, police said. An Oak Lawn woman backed into a Palos Heights police car after a bar brawl in Chicago Ridge. That was just the start.
It started with a bar brawl, included a chase down Harlem Avenue and ended with handcuffs and an expletive laden rant. Tiffany Enriquez, 25, of the 9500 block of Central Avenue in Oak Lawn, was present at a bar in Chicago Ridge on April 7 when a large brawl involving more than 50 patrons broke out, police said. Officers from Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park and Worth all responded to Bobby McGee's, 10139 S. Harlem Avenue, to offer backup.
