Southland Dave and Buster's Opens over the Weekend
The restaurant, sports bar and entertainment complex held its grand opening Saturday in Orland Park.
Dave and Buster's new location opened in Orland Park Saturday with patrons enjoying an array of games, food and drinks, but also supporting a local charity. Up to $5,000 of Saturday's proceeds were set aside for Do It Stevie's Way, a charity dedicated to 17-year-old Steven Bajenski of Mokena. Bajenski was a baseball enthusiast, playing for both the Illinois Sparks and Mount Carmel High School's team, and a strong student. He died in 2009 after surgery to correct a lifelong heart problem. "We knew we had to do something to keep his spirit alive," said Karen Bajenski, Steven's mother, while at Dave and Buster's on Saturday, about starting the charity.
