Former Shepard Student Respected as Leader (UPDATE)
Arielle Terry, 17, died Monday after collapsing earlier this month.
A former Shepard High School JROTC cadet respected as a leader and liked by other students died suddenly Monday. Arielle Terry, 17, transferred to Homewood-Flossmoor High School in September to finish her senior year. Arielle had collapsed days after her older brother's funeral, Sun-Times Media reports. Keith C. Terry died Nov. 16 in a car crash on Interstate 57 in Champaign County. “She was extremely bright—college-bound,” said H-F High School spokesperson Jodi Bryant. “She wanted to lead and she wanted to serve. (Arielle) was well-liked by everyone.” Arielle was a part of the colorguard for the year-end awards ceremony for U.S. Air Force JROTC's program at Shepard.
