A two-car head-on collision was reported at Route 83 and 69th Court
UPDATE at 7:20 p.m. Three ambulances were called to respond to the accident where on one person is reported trapped inside one of the vehicles, according to police. ___________________________________ Two cars collided head-on around 7 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of Route 83 and 69th Court in Palos Heights, according to police. A memorial walk to honor Patrick Mizwick, the Lincoln-Way East High School freshman who was killed after being struck by a car last week, will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today near the Cook County forest preserves where Mizwicki died. Called Finish Pat's Path, the event will travel the same route in unincoprated Palos Township that Mizwicki, a member of East's cross-country team, was running when the New Lenox 14-year-old was hit by the car. The walk will start at Teason Woods Pavilion at the corner of Calumet Sag Road and 104th Avenue. Improper U-Turn Cited Katie Anne Lenard, 25, of the 1100 block of Hickory Creek Drive in New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane usage. Police said they stopped Lenard’s car in the 12800 block of Harlem Avenue around 4:30 a.m. for crossing the divider line during a U-turn and then failing to signal while changing lanes. DUI Accident Jozef Chrobak, 52, of the 13300 block of Medina Drive in Orland Park, was charged with DUI, improper turn and improper lane usage. Police said Chrobak cause a traffic accident in the 6400 block of 127th Street around 6:45 p.m. after taking a wide turn.
