Part of Palos Consolidated School District 118, Palos East Elementary school is home to about 870 students, ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. The school offers a wide range of activities for students. Art, music, sport and academic programs are all available. Palos East students are exposed to a variety of technology, and all of the school district's teachers are trained to use the SMART interactive whiteboard. Parents are also active, participating in several parent groups aimed to increase the educational experience of their children. The current principal is Karen Mrozek.
