It's nice to have a local community bank that takes the time to understand each individuals person or company's needs. The staff is outstanding and makes you feel like a valuable customer to them. I'm glad to have found such a niche bank.

Here's the straight skinney. Read the other reviews. Most talk moreso about the people - and why it works for them. A company develops a culture that is fostered from the leaders - and the team of people they have to carry the load. Our insurance agency has worked with the bank from the inception of the Oak Forest branch - but has worked with several team members long before. When you have a good thing going, there is little compelling reason to change away. We not only use the bank online programs to manage resources, we connect with staff in a quick and efficient manner. Always pleasant, helpful, and interactive. As the VP/Treasurer of my firm that works every day on bank and money movement - I am VERY PLEASED.

We operate a small family-owned business and use CNB in Oak Forest. We have been very pleased with everything this bank has to offer. We know everyone on a first-name basis, the customer service is excellent, and we have been so pleased with the service that we refinanced with this bank as well. Their online bill payment system is easy to navigate and all my banking is done without any hassle. Also, my kids love this bank because they always have free donuts! Unlike most banks where you are simply an account #, dealing with the staff at CNB is always a pleasant & human experience. Our agency staff is on a first name basis with Andy & his crew. Any problems that we have (which are very few and far between) are always dealt with promptly and courteously. Our agency has a rather complicated financial structure because of the many different program funding sources and the complex required accounting demands that we have to deal with. Having a truly supportive and helpful neighborhood bank has created a partnership that makes this process much easier than it used to be when we dealt with

I set up a business checking account when CNB first opened several years ago. I had 'had it' with Chase bank and was looking for a bank that actually cared that I had an account at their bank. CNB was a great choice with employees that were friendly, professional and efficient (not the case at Chase Bank) and bank officers who would give a wave as you walked by their office or professional advice when asked

My restaurant was in need of a loan, and Chase bank wouldn't touch me with a 10 foot pole, even though I had banked with them for 10 years. I went to Andy at CNB and he was able to get my business a 7year loan. All we had to do was bank with them, which I was more than happy to do. Back at Chase I was consistently charged about $25 a month in fees, even being charged to get change for my cash register! I've been with CNB for over 2 years, and haven't been charged ONE CENT in miscellaneous fees. The staff is kind and remembers your face, if not your name, and there is always coffee and donuts for customers. This is the way banking should be. Big banks have, and have taken enough... I went there to open a savings account. I wasn't real thrilled with the service I was getting at my other banks. Unfortunately CNB does not let you open a savings account unless you have a checking account there too. I told them that I already had a checking account, and that if I liked their service I would think about changing my checking account to CNB.

That's like Jewel not selling me bread unless I buy my milk there. A terrible short sighted policy that has no place in the banking industry.

Ok Oak Forest and surrounding communities...you need to bank somewhere and the early results of the Reader's Choice Award for best local bank have CNB by a landslide. I stopped in for myself and agree with the 55 voters. I was treated like a queen from the minute I walked in the door. Helped myself to coffee and free donuts and then found out this community bank can take care of all of my needs including a HELOC loan, investment advice, checking, savings, college plan, etc. I've been banking at Charter One for years and they still don't know my name and I wait in line for up to 20 minutes for anything I need. I'm switching.
