Elim Dutch Festival - For the 18th year Elim Christian Services in Palos Heights will be hosting their Dutch Festival. Located at 13020 S. Central Avenue, the festival starts with a pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Admission is free and there will be entertainment like Dutch cloggers and and Dutch food and pastries will be available all day. Proceeds benefit the center's programs for the disabled.
St. Patricia Octoberfest - Located at 9000 S. 86th Avenue, the parish's Octoberfest features music, food and beer tasting from Granite City. Admission is $25 and the fest is open from 5 to 11 p.m.
Daikonia Dash - This is the first year for this neighborhood run through the streets of Palos Hills. Registration starts at 6 a.m. for the 7 a.m. race. The four-mile course will be chip times and starts at 11025 S. Roberts Road. The event is organized by Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.Jim Witter: The Long and Winding Road (Concert Performance) – Come to Governors State University’s Center for Performing Arts, 1 University Parkway, at 8 p.m. for an intriguing look at the Beatles through a unique multimedia presentation. Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors and $15 for students, and are available online.
Corky Siegel in Concert - The acclaimed Blues legend will be playing the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., at 8 p.m. Tickets are $31.
Oak Lawn Children's Museum Fall Fest - From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., come out and enjoy the fun at the Oak Lawn Children's Museum, 5100 Museum Drive. Activities like a kids dash, inflatable jumpers, live performances and free pumpkins for the first 500 kids are sure to keep the little ones happy.
