Palos Heights Police Cadets Honored

Palos Heights police cadets were recently honored by the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

Several cadets were honored for their service hours with an award from the Cook County Sheriff's Office.

The cadets received the Cook County Sheriff's Youth Medal of Honor. The award recognizes high school students who volunteer at least 100 hours of community service.

The cadets received awards from Sheriff Tom Dart and were also recognized by the City of Palos Heights and their respective hometowns.

Thanks for the comment, Terri. I have met so many young people who are doing great things in the community over the course of my time at Patch. It's always nice to shed some light on their work.
