St. Alexander Moves Up to 9th Place in the Nation! Still Has Eyes on 1st Place $50,000 Prize.

St. Alexander reaches out to Palos Heights community for votes to help secure a $50,000 grant from Clorox.

St. Alexander School is all hands on deck for the final 8 days of the Clorox Power A Bright Future competition, where the winner walks away with $50,000. The Palos Heights' school plans to use the money to upgrade its Applied Technology Lab.

Students, teachers and parents alike have been working day and night to drum up votes. You may have seen the school's 2nd grade students handing out fliers with their parents at the local bank. Or the 8th graders vying for votes at Dominicks. The 6th graders met commuters at the Palos Heights' Metra Station with an enthusiastic plea for votes.

All the work has paid off. Today, the school moved 2 places in the competition. The St. Alexander School and Church community are not going to stop until they are perched atop the #1 position.
