Week 3: Palos AYSO Soccer Recap

U-8

Sharks 4, Blue Thunder 1

Justin Lang and his two goals led the way for the Sharks. Lily Ceretto and Ryan Carroll added to the goal total. Evelyn Fry and Oscar Miller did strong work in the net. Chris Bremner scored for Blue Thunder off of an assist from Delaney Doyle.

Green Thunder 4, Red Falcons 2

Yousef Salama had the hat trick with three goals scored for the Green Thunder. Jack Gausselin also got one in to the back of the net. James Navarette held it down in goal.

Neon Knights 2, Green Hornets 1

Avery Welsch and Courtney Hoefler scored both goals in the last quarter. Mary Englehardt had the assist. Timothy Clancy was the goal scorer for the Green Hornets.

Purple Ninjas 3, Awesome Orange Wolves 0

The three goal scorers for the Purple Ninjas were Eric Antkiewicz, Andrew Kaunas and Margaret Keane. Eamon O'Hara and Cole Kramarski contributed on defense.

Blue Lightning def. Orange Cheetahs

It was a big scoring day for the Blue Lightning. Conor O'Mara and Quinn Richards each netted three goals. Owen McGovern has a pair of goals, and Madeline Meehan added one as well.

White Fire 3, Red Dragons 1

In a tight game Danny Ellsworth scored early in the first quarter with an assist from Caitlin Stokes.  The Red Dragons then tied it up. Christian Chavez put the White Fire up one at the half. Ellsworth sealed the win in the final quarter with his second goal.

U-10

Tigers 2, Red Flames 0

Thomas Murrihy, Koralia Kuruklis, Lauren Hunt and Andrew Hughes all did solid work in goal for the Red Flames.

Blue Demons 1, Team 1 0

T.J. Mohan's throw in found George Paetow who was able to elude the defense to score the only goal of the game.

U12

Jolly Green Giants 2, Black Storm 2

It was a tie game that saw Sam Snell score both goals for the Jolly Green Giants. Danny Russo added some great midfield play. Alyssa Lang and Nate Haefelin were team players when they stepped up to play for the player short Black Storm. Hayley Goebel and Emily Stefan scored for the Black Storm. 

Blue Man Group 5, The Blazers 3

The scorers for the Blazers were Leo Angelos, Alex Kamperda and Garrett Wolan. Kaitlyn Meyer, Kaitlyn Klein and Jared Thompson played strong on defense. 

Code Red 5, The Navy Seals 2

Code Red had a strong offensive day with Josh Pappas and Paul Striepling scoring two goals each. Jack Forden had a goal as well. Joshua Georgiou provided strong midfield play.

Maroon Magic 5, Golden Eagles 2

Michael Kaunas had two goals for the Maroon Magic. Quinn Kennedy, Jane Peterson and Adam Alleruzzo added to the goal total.
