At the first fall football practice on Wednesday, Stagg coach Brian Buglio turned his attention to the challenge ahead.
”Practice, to us, is an opportunity to get better," Buglio said. "We need to be disciplined every single day, having the right attitude and getting ourselves prepared for game speed. We are looking forward to opening day. It is big on our calendar.
"It would be good to have a win Week 1. It would put us in a good position. We made that one of our goals."
The Chargers play host to Thornton Fractional North in their opener on Aug. 26.
