Gimme 5: Stagg's Orant Frames the Strike Zone
Chargers' senior catcher comfortable behind the plate, fielding questions about his future.
Stagg senior catcher Max Orant is an aspiring photographer, but most of the snaps you hear him clicking off now are the ones created by the sounds of fastballs thrown by teammates Brad Clark or Kyle Belluomini.
Orant is in his second year playing on the varsity level for the Chargers. He has aspirations of continuing his career in college. If he doesn't land an offer, however, he'll pursue a photgraphy degree at Columbia College in Chicago.
He is known for his work catching the Chargers' pitching staff. But don't forget his work at the plate. Orant went 3-for-4, including a double, and scored a run in a recent game against Homewood-Flossmoor.
