Gimme 5: Stagg's Max Orant is Loving Senior Year

The Chargers' senior catcher is enjoying the ride of his last year in high school and eyeing a big season on the diamond.

Max Orant is enjoying the perks of being a senior in high school. When it comes to baseball, the Stagg catcher is hoping he and the Chargers can build upon the success of last season.

Orant batted .299 and knocked out five homers and 35 doubles to help the Chargers claim the Southwest Suburban Red crown last season. He’s hoping the team can claim the conference title once again and advance to the state finals

In his free time, Orant enjoys some interesting hobbies.

"I like listening to Dean Martin," he said. "I also like to just play pool by myself."

When it comes to school, Orant said he’s enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of senior year. He said that after working hard for three years, it's nice to be able to take it easy.
