Gimme 5: Five Questions with Shepard's Cortez Miller
Get to know the Astros' junior running back.
Cortez Miller, 17, is a junior running back at Shepard. He leads his life like he plays his football position -- he always seems to be on the run.
And that's just the way he likes it. When he's not playing football, he enjoys playing basketball because of the break-neck pace and constant movement.
But football is the focus these days for Miller. He's looking forward to Friday night's showdown with South Suburban Red rival Richards, a highlight on the schedule for him. The Astros will bring a 2-1 record into the game in Oak Lawn, while Richards is 1-2.

"My favorite part of the season is right now, going against Richards," Miller said. "I think they're a good team, but I think we're going to beat them because we go hard in everything we do."
