Gimme 5: Banks Cooks Up Winning Recipe at Palos Country Club
Kalynn Banks played golf at Sandburg and started working at Palos Country Club while still in high school. Now, she runs the pro shop.
Don't be fooled by Kalynn Banks' age. True, she is 24 years old. But she has been playing golf for about 12 years and working at Palos Country Club since she was a senior at Sandburg High School.
Banks, who is in her first year as pro shop manager at the country club, is well-versed on how to play the nine-hole course. She's also well-versed in the business aspect of golf, recently finishing up a degree in hospitality managment at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Apart from a knack for the game of golf, she also is skilled in the kitchen. Previously, she worked as the chef at Palos Country Club and grilled steaks every Saturday.
