Football Photo Gallery: Stagg Feels the Heat
Chargers are unable to muster much offense in a 37-0 loss to Sandburg on Friday night in Palos Hills.
Stagg quarterback Steve Kubiak passed for 35 yards in a 37-0 loss to Sandburg on Friday night. And all the yardage came on his only completion, a toss to running back Alan Jones.
That's how things went for the Chargers (0-2). Mike Murphy rushed for 17 yards. Joe Falk tacked on 15 yards. But there was not much run for Stagg to run on the rugged Sandburg defense.
"Our mixed offense is the core of what we do, but (falling short) has been the story of our first two weeks," Stagg coach Brian Buglio said. "Everything we have put together, we've stopped ourselves, either by fumbles or penalties. As much as we've run into good teams, I believe we've been shooting ourselves in the foot."
