Free Seminar on Student-Athlete Head Injuries

Shepard High School will host a free seminar for student-athletes, parents and coaches on head injuries on Wednesday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Those attending should park in the back of the school, located at 13049 S. Ridgeland Avenue in Palos Neuropsychologist Dr. Elizabeth Pieroth of The Midwest Center for Concussion Care will serve as the guest speaker.

"Researchers have discovered so much information about the risks of head injuries to athletes and performers. This is a great opportunity for everyone concerned to learn all they can and ask questions of an
expert," said Shepard athletic director Gawaine Perkins.
