Discover Burr Ridge Village Center for family fun and relaxed shopping

Our girls received gift cards for Claire's and Justice for their birthday. They have been asking to go shopping nearly every day since their birthday. I've been putting it off because I really despise shopping at the big crowded shopping malls, which is where you'll find most Claire's and Justice stores.

Luckily for me, we recently discovered the Burr Ridge Village Center. If you haven't found this slice of shopping heaven, it's time to take a short trip. Burr Ridge Village Center is really convenient to the Palos area. We go North on Willow Springs Road to 75th Street, turn left (West) and take it to County Line Road. On County Line Road we turn right (North) and the Burr Ridge Village Center is only a few blocks up the road. I always tell people that it's near the Lifetime Fitness on I-55 and County Line Road. From our garage to the Burr Ridge Village Center parking garage is about 15 minutes. It's also a stress-free drive through some pretty wooded areas.

This shopping and dining area is part of a larger development of high end condominiums. There is so much free parking that it never feels crowded. The shopping area is set-up like a village with stores on each side of the street. You can wander from store to store finding everything from tween clothes to women's specialty stores to paint-your-own ceramics to a book store to a mobile phone provider.

There are also plenty of dining options from Coopers Hawk to Wok-N-Fire to Topaz Café. We've eaten at all three and would go back in a heartbeat. After our girls spent their gift cards and more, we settled in for frozen yogurt at Red Mango, our favorite frozen yogurt shop. There were groups of teenage girls hanging out on a Friday night, couples coming from LifeTime Fitness and families out for a stroll. It was fun to sit and watch the people come in and out.

Burr Ridge Village Center has a Spooktacular Halloween Party coming up on Friday, October 25. It's one of many family-friendly events the center sponsors throughout the year. We'll be there with our girls. We hope to see you there too!

Disclosure: Usually when bloggers write about a place or product they've been compensated with something free. I don't have anything to disclose so I wanted to be clear that this isn't a paid post. We just really enjoy Burr Ridge Village Center. Everyone we've sent there enjoyed it too.
