V-SPANN and the Willowbrook Ballroom present Operation: Dancing With The Real Stars Military Ball

Join our special guests for this first time event that will bring past and present members of the Armed Forces together for an afternoon of dancing and camaraderie at the historical Willowbrook Ballroom.

The Teddy Lee Orchestra, featuring Chicago singing sensation Peter Oprisko, will provide elegant big band entertainment as the 13 musicians perform a variety of custom arrangements from classic tunes, waltzes, Latin, society, jazz to Dixieland.

Hosts for the afternoon are Chicago media personalities Rich Renik, Jennifer O’Neill and Bob Wallace.

Many Veterans and their families have experienced delays and difficulty receiving benefits and services, not in just this conflict, but in the past. These Veterans and their families may not be aware of programs and/or help available in such areas as Healthcare, PTSD, Suicide Prevention, Employment, Housing, Education, Pro Bono Legal Help, Counseling, Grants, Discounts plus many other benefits and programs that have not been brought to the awareness of the Veteran Community through lack of media interest or budget constraints.

The V-SPANN initiative will be a complete information clearing house and distribution center for all Veterans organizations and Government agencies which support our American Veterans. 

This event will be video taped for later broadcast.

Ticket prices are $12.00 in advance (through VSPANN.org) or $14.00 at the door (cash bar). Veterans in uniform or wearing commendations, ribbons, medals or their dog tags will  be entered into the afternoon drawing for a large flat screen TV. 

All proceeds will go to V-SPANN to further produce programming and create distribution channels for Veteran Service Organizations, our Veteran’s, and their families.

V-SPANN will continue providing programming to the American Veteran, that aims to uplift, support and direct them to resources and organizations to help in their battles here at home.

The willingness with which our young are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation.
