Lake Katherine Summer Programs are Fun and Affordable

is one of the most beautiful nature preserves in the Chicago suburbs. I can say this with certain since we've been to most of them.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn recently that Lake Katherine now offers summer camps. Our girls participated in many of the Little Explorers programs when they were younger. We always found the topic to be just right for their age.

The staff was very patient with the gropus of toddlers and preschoolers. The summer camp program offers opportunities for children from 7 - 15 years old to spend five days learning in a nature-based setting.

Each week classes run from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. the cost is only $90. (Of course I say "only" because if you look at similar programs, you'll see the cost is much more.)

There is also a selection of one day activities through the summer fun program.These nature programs are for school age children from kindergarten through fifth grade. Pre-registration and payment of $5 per participant are required. Space is limited.

You know you have to keep the kids busy this summer. Why not send them to a local treasure which offers interesting courses at an affordable price? Who knows what you might learn if you tag along.
