Catch Justin Witte at Robert DeCaprio Art Gallery on March 28 & 30

Justin Witte's installation transforms the DeCaprio art gallery through wall painting, suspended panels and semi-hidden paintings.

There's a very interesting art exhibition going on now at the Moraine Valley Community College's Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery. Artist Justin Witte transformed the gallery walls using suspended panels, semi-hidden paintings and wall painting. The camouflaging of these works will be disrupted by subtle variations of surface, texture and color within the panels. The overall effect will be of two viewpoints at play: a distant view where the work exists primarily as a pattern and a close view where a complex image is revealed.

This installation, The Very to The Very, includes artist's talks. These are great opportunities for budding artists to learn what inspires Justin and how he uses that inspiration to create his art. I think for all parents it's our dream for our children to find passion in their work. Artist's talks give budding artists a chance to talk to someone who is creating a life and making a living doing what he loves.

The next two Artist's Talks are Thursday, March 28, 3 p.m. and Saturday, March 30, 4-6 p.m. These events are free and open to the public. For more information, visit http://morainevalley.edu/FPAC/gallery/default.htm
