Palos AYSO kicked off their 22nd season of youth soccer on Aug. 27 with games at . Every week during the season Patch will be bringing you the results and standout players.

U8

Blue Lightning 5, The Sharks 0

Conor O’Mara and Quinn Richards were the offensive leaders for the Blue Lightning with two goals each. Matt Gilhooly also contributed to the goal total. Richards, Gilhooly, Kol Shields and Owen McGovern kept the shutout alive with their work in the net.

Green Thunder 1, Blue Thunder 0

Lenny Kobilca was the lone goal scorer of the game. He scored on an assist from Karissa Cano. Leo Warza and Yousef Salama manned the goal.

Neon Knights 2, Team 5 2

It was a tie game with Joe Marx and Courtney Hoetler each scoring once for the Knights.

Green Hornets 3, Red Dragons

The Green Hornets prevailed with two goals from Patrick Mulcahy and another from Timothy Clancy. The rest of the team provided solid defense to kick off the season.

Red Falcons 1, Awesome Orange Wolves 0

The Red Falcons pulled out out a win thanks to a goal by Aidan O’Hara.

White Fire 6, Yellow Stingers 1

The solid offensive effort was led by Owen Donegan, Charlie Kalousek and Erin Helstinger with two goals each. Christian Chaves contributed assists on three of the goals.

Carter Hunter scored the lone goal for the Yellow Stingers.

U10

Green Machine 5, Red Flames 1

Luke Christy made it a hat trick scoring three goals in the first game of the season. Kaleb Donnahue and Nolan Light also found the back of the net. Christopher Casey, Kaleb Donnahue and Cecilia Light helped out in goal.

Demetrios Sacha scored a goal for the Flames off of an assist by Thomas Murrihy.

Blue Demons 3, Tigers 0

Michael Pocza scored two goals and had one assist leading the Blue Demons to victory. George Paetow also contributed a goal and an assist. Jane Cleary provided the other assist of the game.

U12

Black Storm 6, Blue Man Group 1

Angelina Kosmas was the leading scorer of the game with two goals. Inga Hokens, Leah Piekosz, Owiler Pyzik and Emily Stefan also put points on the board. Erini Kosmas contributed two assists.

Team 2 9, Thunder 3

Ricky Rietjens scored a hat trick for the Thunder.

Golden Eagles 10, Code Red 4

Allyson Mossallem was the big offensive leader of the day with five goals and an assist. Cassidy McCarthy added three goals to the total.

For Code Red, Tyler Winklemann scored twice and Joshua Georgiou and Jack Forden each scored once.

U14

Maroon Monsters  7, Grass Kickers 2

Fekadu Timmermans had the hat trick with three goals scored. Abby Newsome, Mark Karczewski, Dannielle Golob and Luke Hayes also contributed offensively.

Drake Wolan and Vinnie Martin scored for the Kickers. Trevor Piper had an assist.
