Stagg Student Pursues Dreams in Medicine

Senior Daniel Strama plans to make a life out of helping others.

Daniel Strama dreams of becoming a cardiologist, ever since he played with a toy stethoscope as a kid.

Sun-Times Media recently featured the Stagg High School senior. Strama completed a certification as an emergency medical technician, according to the feature. His interests at school extend into the sciences:

“I’ve always been interested in science. It has been my best course, and I like learning about the body,” said Strama, who said he works hard to maintain his grades.

The EMT course is new to Stagg, according to the article. The class is taught three days a week and is in conjunction with Trace Ambulance Service.

Strama plans to attend the University of Chicago next year.
