Stagg Football Field to be Completed by Oct. 1

District 230 embarked upon a project to install artificial turf football fields at their three high schools. After delays, Stagg's field is set to be the last completed.

After a series of delays and setbacks, District 230 announced that the installation of an artificial turf football field at Stagg High School will be completed by Oct. 1.

The installation process had been delayed by a construction worker union strike this summer, as well as by weather and unforeseen changes to the sewer and storm drainage design.  The Oct. 1 completion date means Stagg will be the last of the District 230 schools to have such projects completed.

Andrew's field will be completed on Aug. 27, in time for the first football game of the season. Sandburg's field is slated to be finished Sept. 17.
