Shepard High School Varsity Dance Set to Shine in State Spotlight

Good luck to the Shepard High School varsity dance team, who compete in state competition this weekend.

Shepard High School's varsity dance team will take the floor in the preliminary round of the Class 2A state final competition at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, according to the Illinois High School Association website. 


There are 90 total teams competing at the state meet in the Class 1A, 2A and 3A divisions from across Illinois. The top 10 teams in each division will advance to the final round on Saturday, according to the IHSA website.

The Shepard varsity team is slated to perform at 6:45 p.m. Friday. The competitions can be viewed live throughout the day online on the IHSA TV website

Those advancing to finals Saturday in the Class 2A division will be announced at 7:45 p.m. Friday. Preliminary results will be posted by the IHSA online.
