Photo: Stagg Raises Breast Cancer Awareness With Coin Toss

At last Friday's varsity football game, Stagg High School reminded fans of the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

High School varsity football in conjunction with the Stagg Athletic Boosters, held its first Breast Cancer Awarness evening on Friday, Sept. 30, at its home game against Thornridge.

The coin toss was performed by Sue Good, an employee of Stagg High School for over 20 years and a cancer survivor.  The varsity football players sported pink socks, pink shoelaces and surivor ribbons on their helmets in support of breast cancer research.

Palos Sports donated pink t-shirts that were given out to those attending Friday night’s game. The school plans for this to be an annual event.
