Olympic Silver Medalist Kendall Coyne Returns to Sandburg March 21

The Olympian will sign autographs and chat with current students.

U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Silver medalist Kendall Coyne will pay a visit to her high school alma mater, Carl Sandburg High School, on March 21.

Coyne will meet with students in The Commons during lunch periods starting at 9 a.m. to sign autographs. Her Olympic accomplishments will then be celebrated during an assembly in the school's Eagle Gym.

Palos Heights native—and NBC-touted "NHL player in a woman's body" Coyne—won a silver medal, after a heartbreaking overtime loss to Team Canada in the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
