The Rundown: Palos Hills Council Says Budget Is Coming

The City Council announced the adoption of the annual budget will come in two weeks.

Public Works Contract: The City Council voted unanimously to approve two ordinances adopting an agreement with the union that represents its public works employees, the details of which were discussed at. Ald. Joe Marrotta (4th Ward) was absent from the meeting.

Budget: Ald. A.J. Pacek (3rd Ward) announced that all budget committee hearings have been completed and that he and Mayor Gerald Bennett will begin updating the budget with any changes and present council members with a copy before May 1. The city will vote to adopt the budget at the May 5 council meeting.

State Funding: Mayor Bennett once again brought up the issue of possible cuts to Check Patch on Monday for a letter ro the editor from Bennett.
