Section of Cal Sag Closed for Bridge Repairs
Get ready for several months of detours.
Work to replace the bridge over Mill Creek Cal Sag Road was schedule to begin this week and commuters should expect to detour through November.
Route 83 will be closed east of LaGrange Road in Palos Park. The detour directs drivers to LaGrange via 123rd Street and Southwest Highway to reconnect with Cal Sag.
The Illinois Department of Transportation, who announced the project, expects to finish Nov. 21.

Homes and businesses east and west of the creek will still be accessible.
