Property Tax Appeal Event

The office of Cook County Board of Review Commissioner Dan Patlak will conduct a property tax assessment appeal seminar in Palos Township for concerned taxpayers.

Palos Township Assessor Robert E. Maloney and Supervisor Colleen-Grant Schumann will host the event on September 13 at the Township Office located at 10802 S. Roberts Road at 6:30 p.m.

The seminar includes a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak explaining how property taxes are calculated and the appeal procedure of the Board of Review. Before the end of the evening, taxpayers will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns. The goal of the Board of Review is to help taxpayers file a successful tax appeal in a time when the economy is putting added pressures on home and business owners.

This event is free to the public and there is no fee to appeal at the Board of Review. Taxpayers are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill.

The event will be held:
