Wind Advisory Issued for Northern Illinois
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for most of northern Illinois, including Cook County. The advisory was issued at 3:51 p.m. and will remain in effect until 6 p.m. tonight.
Strong winds are expected with gusts possibly reaching 45 mph. Minor property damage is also possible. The alert says driving conditions may be difficult, especially for larger vehicles.
The Palos Park Police Department warns motorists to use extra caution while driving this evening.
