Stun Gun Found During Speeding Stop: Blotter

Palos Heights police reports, Sept. 6-11.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 6

Hit & Run

Margaret C. McMahon, 30, of 13200 block of Greenleaf Ct. in Palos Heights was charged with driving with a revoked license, driving an uninsured vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and leaving the scene of a crash, according to a report. Police said a vehicle struck a pole in the early morning near 135th Street and Ridgeland Avenue. The vehicle was later found in the 13200 block of Greenleaf Court. McMahon’s bond was set at $2,000.

Drug Paraphernalia Charge for Oak Forest Man

Tyler M. Beardsley, 18, of 15200 block of South Oak Road in Oak Forest was charged with driving with a suspended license, having tinted windows and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report. A vehicle was stopped for having tinted windows at about 9:38 a.m. near 11900 of S. Ridgeland Ave. in Worth. Police found the driver had a suspended license and, later, charged him with possession after a search of the vehicle. Beardsley’s bond was set at $1,500.

Unlawful Use of a Weapon Charge

David T. Hotwagner, 42, of 15400 block of Oak Park Avenue in Oak Forest was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and an unlawful use of a weapon, according to a report. Police said they stopped a vehicle for speeding at about 12:41 p.m. near 6300 W. 127th St. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up a stun gun. Hotwagner’s bond was set at $1,500.

DUI Charge for Orland Park Woman

Lidija T. Krajewski, 19, of the 16600 block of Paw Paw Avenue in Orland Park was charged with improper lane use, speeding, driving an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a report. Police said they stopped a vehicle for lane violations and speeding. An officer reportedly could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. Krajewski’s bond was set at $3,000.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 11

Drug Possession Charge for Palos Heights Woman

Megan Linehan, 24, of the 12700 block of South Auburn in Palos Heights was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a rear registration plate light, according to a report. A vehicle driven by Linehan was stopped at 12:26 a.m. near 12700 S. Auburn after an officer noticed the rear plate light was not lighted. Police also searched the vehicle. Linehan’s bond was set at $1,500.
