Swerving Into Oncoming LaneSUNDAY, DEC. 29
Tristan Molloy, 21, of Chicago Ridge, was stopped at 2:50 a.m. after police observed him driving on Roberts Road near 111th Street and crossing the center lane line and drifting into oncoming traffic, police said. He was given and failed a field sobriety test and an officer found an open case of Bud Light in the front seat of the car, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence, improper transportation of alcohol and traffic violations.
Speeding Away From Cops Leads to DUISATURDAY, DEC. 28
Around 3:30 a.m. police report that they spotted a car being driven by Arthur Wojas, 30, of Palos Hills, traveling at 60 miles per hour in a 40 zone. When officers tried to stop him with flashing lights and marked cars he began to flea blowing through one stop sign at 10600 S. 82nd Ave., police said. He eventually stopped and officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the car and spotted a plastic bottle containing marijuana, police said.
Wojas also admitted to drinking and failed a field sobriety test. He was charged with driving under the influence, fleeing and eluding, speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, no valid insurance, possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment.
