Police Find Driver Asleep with Car in Gear

A 28-year-old Oak Lawn man was charged with drunken driving following his arrest on Sept. 13.

A dozy driver who left his car in gear was arrested by Palos Heights police on Sept. 13.

Ryan L. Drish, 28, of the 6600 block of West 93rd, Oak Lawn, faces drunken driving charges, according to a Palos Heights police report.

Cops found Drish sleeping in a parking lot with his vehicle in gear at about 3:30 a.m., the report states. An officer who made contact said he had signs of intoxication.

Drish failed tests for sobriety and gave police a breath sample over the legal limit, the report states. He was charged with DUI and DUI with a blood-alcohol level greater than 0.08.

Bail was set at $3,000. Drish is due in court on Sept. 27.
