Police: Condo Board Race Gets Oily

A Palos Hills police report.

On Nov. 30 police responded to a call at the Stony Creek Condominiums on Stonebridge Court. What they found was a very messy situation.

A resident reported that motor oil had been poured into his mail slot and onto his mail, police said.

The officers were told that motor oil had also been poured into the mailbox slots of all members of the condo association's board, police said. One of the victims told police that the oily act was likely the result of a board election that is currently in progress, police said.
