Gunman Robs Restaurant Owner & Employee

The two were held up at Bill's Hungry Boys near closing time.

A Palos Hills restaurant was robbed by a man brandishing a gun earlier this week.

No one was injured in the Oct. 13 armed robbery at Bill's Hungry Boys, 7207 W. 103rd St., according to Palos Hills police.

A man carrying a black handgun entered the restaurant near closing time, about 10:30 p.m., and yelled "Give me all your money" at the employees, police said. The robber took money from two employees and then ran away northwest through the nearby parking lot.

About $750 was stolen from two people at the restaurant, including the owner Mike Al. The robber had just began asking about the cash register when Al refused.

“I started to jump on him and he ran," Al said.

The gunman is in his early 20s, possibly of Arab descent, about 5-foot, 7-inches tall and 150 pounds, police said. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a thin black coat, a black sweater and black pants.

Officers searched the area but were unable to find the assailant. Detectives are still investigating. They do not currently think he is connected with any other recent area robberies.

"I hope they catch him before he does anything else," Al said.
