Palos Park Police Step Up Patrols for Super Bowl Weekend

Palos Park police remind residents to designate a sober drive or call a cab following this weekend's festivities.

Palos Park police will be patrolling carefully Feb. 1–3, paying particular attention to moving violations and those not wearing seat belts. Officers will keep an eye out for speeding, following too closely, improper lane changing, reckless driving and driving under the influence

Police Commissioner Dan Polk reminds residents to designate a sober driver around Super Bowl Sunday, "because fans don't let fans drive drunk."

“If you’re attending a Super Bowl party or watching the game at a sports bar or restaurant, please designate a sober driver, or plan another way to get home safely before the party begins," Polk said in a release.
