Palos Park Police Blotter: Marijuana Arrests, Unlocked Car

SATURDAY, MARCH 19

Marijuana and Teens Equals Arrest

A car carrying two juveniles traveling eastbound down 131st Street was stopped after police observed several items hanging from the rearview mirror, police said. A strong odor of marijuana was detected and the driver admitted to having 3.9 grams of marijuana in his pocket, police said. The passenger said he was carrying a glass pipe, police said. A small container of vodka was also found in the car. The driver was charged with possession of cannabis and the passenger was charged with possession of drug equipment, police said.

Charges Dropped

The previously reported charges against Timothy Gerhardt, 24, of the 11900 block of Southwest Highway in Palos Park, have been dropped after restitution was made, police said.

Gas Grab

A dark green Honda driven by a man in his 40s drove off from a gas station before the man paid for the $45 worth of gas that was pumped, police said.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16

Unlocked Car

A vehicle registration, a set of keys and a wallet containing credit cards and $80 in cash was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 12500 block of 86th Avenue, police said.
