Twice the Legal Limit

Connor Smith, 21, of the 8200 block of Hillcrest Drive in Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving. Smith was stopped at 2:04 a.m. after his car was observed swerving down LaGrange Road, police said. A breath test revealed a blood alcohol level of .16, twice the legal limit, police said.

Attempted Invasion

A resident of the 10000 block of 127th Street called police after what he believed to be an attempted home invasion. The man heard his doorbell ring and then several minutes later heard a "scuffle" at his back door, police said. He observed two men attempting to open it. The fled once he saw them, police said.
