Palos Nurse Hit in the Head

Christy L. Circo, 32, of the 1700 block of Boulder Drive in Darien, was charged with battery, according to a report. Police said Circo was being treated at Palos Community Hospital when she allegedly made "unlawful physical contact" with a nurse and injuring her head at about 1:18 a.m. She was given a court date of Oct. 23.

Indiana Teen Charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Nicholas R. Paunovich, 18, of the 500 block of Evergreen Lane in Munster, IN, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, according to a report. Police said they stopped Paunovich's vehicle at about 10:30 p.m. near 6300 W. 127th for speeding. During the stop, they allegedly could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana. A search turned up several pieces of drug paraphernalia. Paunovich was booked and given a court date of Oct. 31.

MONDAY, SEPT. 24

Thefts at Trinity Christian College

Alexander J. Morales, 20, of the 8900 block of South 86th Avenue in Hickory Hills, was charged with retail theft. Morales is accused of stealing books from textbooks from the Trinity Christian College Bookstore and trying to sell them to Moraine Valley Community College multiple times.

Several book bags were reported stolen from the floor near the cafeteria at Trinity Christian on Sept. 19 & 24. No arrests were reported.
