Palos Hills Police Blotter: Solo Cups, Video Games and Hubcaps Stolen

Recent thefts and burglaries as described in Palos Hills police reports, June 21-23.

SATURDAY, JUNE 23

Hubcaps and Hedge Clippers

Hedge clippers and four hubcaps were reported stolen from a home around 1 p.m. A woman told police that she leaves the items on the side of her home and noticed them missing after a friend of a friend borrowed the clippers.

Solo Cup Caper

A male juvenile walked into Walgreens, 11053 Southwest Highway, and took a pack of solo cups without paying, police said. After store employees reported the theft police found the boy walking with the solo cups in tow. He admitted to stealing the cups, was charged with retail theft and was released to his mother, police said. 

Burglary, Electronics Taken

A home on the 8700 block of Surrey Park was reported burglarized. Between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. the home was ransacked. The resident returned home and found the front door open and items thrown about the house, police said. Twelve video games, controllers, two X-Boxes and two laptops were reported missing, police said.

Lawn Mower Stolen

A resident of the 7700 block of 114th Place reported that a lawn mower and lawn care tools were stolen, police said. Locks were cut to get to the equipment.
