SATURDAY, DEC. 24

Tires Slashed

The front tires of a car parked in the 8500 block of 101st Terrace were slashed during the night, police said.

Christmas Spirits

James Vancura, 23, of Chicago, Nathan Wagner, 22, of Alsip, David Harrison, 22, of Champaign, Kevin Heywood, 23, of Monee and Steven Cieslinski, 24, of Plainfield were charged with disorderly conduct. The group was asked to leave Zante's Lounge, 10307 S. Roberts Road, after causing a disturbance, police said. The men then began to fight with security, throwing bottles and spitting, police said.

FRIDAY, DEC. 23

Drag Racing Down Roberts Road

Pawel Janik, 35, of Palos Park, and Katarzyna Landowska, 32, of Des Plaines, were charged with drag racing. The pair were racing each other down Roberts Road at 2:20 a.m., police said. After they were stopped Janik failed field sobriety tests and was also charged with driving under the influence, police said.

THURSDAY, DEC. 22

Candle Snatcher

A Palos Hills resident told police that she had not received a shipment of candles she ordered from an online company. It was determined that FedEx had delivered the items to her doorstep on Lucas Drive, police said.  

Harassment by Text

Dimon Walker, 18, was charged with harassment by electronic communication after sending two threatening texts telling a woman to break up with her boyfriend and date him instead, police said. Two tires of the woman's car were also slashed and police are investigating Walker's involvement, police said.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 21

Fast-Food Fisticuffs 

Samantha Hernandez, 20, of Blue Island, Vicky De La Torre, 35, of Blue Island and Aly De La Torre, 19, of Studio City, CA were charged with disorderly conduct after a fight at McDonald's, 11050 Southwest Highway. At about 5:15 p.m. Vicky De La Torre was standing in line to buy food when Hernandez slammed into her shoulder when walking past, police said. De La Torre pushed Hernandez back and a fight between the two women broke out, police said. Aly De La Torre than joined the fight against Hernandez, police said.
