Palos Hills Police Blotter: School Drug Bust, Three Cases of Vodka Swiped

Palos Hills police reports, Jan. 9 - 15.

SUNDAY, JAN. 14

DUI on 111th Street

Amanda Reed, 25, of Oak Lawn, was charged with drunken driving. Reed was stopped at 3 a.m. after she was observed swerving from lane to lane on 111th Street, police said. Police detected a strong smell of alcohol on her breath and she admitted to drinking, police said. She failed a field sobriety test, police said.

Pot at School

Ruben Mendez, 18, of Palos Hills was charged with possession of drug equipment. Two male juveniles and Mendez were found by officials at Stagg High School in an area with the odor of cannabis in the air, police said. School officials found a small pipe that Mendez was in possession of, police said.

Three Cases of Vodka Swiped

An employee of a liquor store on the 8800 block of 95th Street reported that three men entered the store and one took a case of Grey Goose vodka and ran out of the store, police said. When the employee went after the first man, the other two each took a case of vodka and ran out the door, police said.
